Carrying

The "Carrying" series I created from August 2024 to April 2025, spanning the entire period of pregnancy, and brings together photographic positions on pregnant physicality – raw, calm, and radically visible. In each shot, pregnancy reveals itself not as an idealized cliché, but as a real, physically experienced, intimate, and socially shaped transformation.

The body in these images carries – visibly and invisibly – weight, expectation, responsibility, history, and the future. It carries not only new life, but also signs of power, vulnerability, control, and self-empowerment. The conscious decision for analog black-and-white photography creates a timeless space in which the supposedly private becomes public. The poses range from upright confrontation to quiet inwardness – always with a focus on dignity and self-determination.

The series does not invite us to contemplate "motherhood," but rather to engage with the pregnant body as a political, aesthetic, and emotional site.

Hongkong [vor der Wut]

Vom 10. September bis 4. Oktober diesen Jahres wird eine Auswahl von ca. 50 Streetfotos und Street-Portraits, die ich während meiner Hongkong-Reise im November 2018 gemacht habe, im Rahmen des 6. Fotofestival Görlitz im Fotomuseum Görlitz ausgestellt werden.

Wer sind wir und was macht uns aus? Kultur ist seit jeher ein fester Bestandteil unserer Gesellschaft. Kultur hilft beim Verstehen, definiert unsere Wahrnehmung, zeigt uns manchmal Grenzen und ist dennoch stets offen für Neues.

Menschen kultivieren die (Um)Welt, ihr Umfeld, setzen Maßstäbe in Industrie, Landwirtschaft, Gesellschaft und Architektur, sind mitunter gar kultiviert. Schauplätze unseres Schaffens. Das 6. Fotofestival „Schauplätze“ widmet sich vom 10. September bis 01. November 2020 „kultiviert!“ in all seinen Formen.

Eine Vernissage kann aufgrund der Beschränkungen wegen der Corona-Pandemie leider nicht stattfinden. Sollten die Umstände es später erlauben, wird es am 30. Oktober jedoch eine Abschlussveranstaltung geben.

Neben der Möglichkeit, die mit schwarzem Passepartout versehenen Fotos (Gesamtgröße je 50x70cm) zu erwerben, wird es auch eine Auswahl meiner sonstigen Bilder als Prints zu kaufen geben. Das bedeutet: Taschengeld einpacken. ;-)

Die Erotik des Augenblicks  

Wie entstehen tiefgehende, emotionale und erotische Akt- und Portraitfotos?

Um tiefgründige und bewegende Portraits, Aktportraits und Aktfotos entstehen zu lassen, braucht es mehr, als eine große Kamera und ein nacktes Modell. Aber warum fotografieren wir überhaupt Akt und was schafft die Basis zwischen Modell und Fotograf, um das Entstehen fesselnder Bilder zu ermöglichen?

Im Workshop geht es um Motivation und Kommunikation zwischen Aktmodell und Fotograf vor und während des Shootings sowie um die aktive Arbeit mit vorhandenem Licht, Schnitt, Perspektive und Bewegung. Im aktiven Teil des Workshops fotografieren wir – und jeder von Euch hat die Möglichkeit, zusammen mit der bezaubernden Dorothy C bewegende und bewegte Bilder zu schaffen. Feedback ist wichtig – die Ergebnisse sehen wir uns daher auch (selbst)kritisch gemeinsam an.

Natürlich wird für das leibliche Wohl gesorgt sein. Gute, handgemachte Verpflegung sowie Getränke stellen wir allen Teilnehmern bereit.
